Our Story
To begin with, the storied grounds of Skylark Shores Resort have been a cornerstone of Lakeport’s lakeside charm since the early 1950s. What began as a beloved local restaurant and motor inn has evolved into the region’s most iconic destination. Nestled on the pristine shores of Clear Lake, California’s largest and oldest natural freshwater lake, our resort was envisioned as a haven where the land and water exist in perfect harmony.
The heart of our property is the “Grand Lawn,” a vast, manicured expanse of green that rolls gently from our doorsteps right to the water’s edge. It is a rare sanctuary where the legacy of the Old West meets modern relaxation.
